Security has been heightened at the Jaramogi Oginga Odinga University of Science and Technology (JOOUST) ahead of the funeral ceremony of the late former Prime Minister Raila Odinga.
The situation is similar to the Opoda farm home where the body of Raila stayed for an overnight vigil.
Mourners from all corners of the country gathered at the institution as early as 5 am with some saying they spend the night at the institution’s grounds.
Military officers who are in charge of Raila’s state funeral set for the procession from Raila Odinga's Opoda home to Jaramogi Oginga Odinga University of Science and Technology.
The body should depart the Opoda farm home, anytime from now.
The National Funeral Committee on Saturday announced that the funeral service would start at 9am through to 1pm.
